Services

I offer a range of therapeutic approaches, and every treatment plan is tailored to you. There’s no one-size-fits-all method here. In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to accomplish, and which approach makes the most sense for where you are right now. Sometimes that’s one specific modality. Often it’s a combination.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

When something overwhelming happens, your brain can get stuck. The memory doesn’t get filed away like other experiences – instead, it stays active, triggering emotional reactions, intrusive thoughts, and survival responses long after the actual threat is gone.

EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps your brain do what it couldn’t do on its own: process and integrate those stuck experiences. Through guided bilateral stimulation – typically eye movements – you’ll processing distressing memories or thoughts in a controlled, safe way that allows your brain to reprocess them. You don’t have to relive everything to heal from it.

The result isn’t that you forget what happened. It’s that the memory loses its emotional charge. You can think about it without being hijacked by it. Many clients experience meaningful shifts faster with EMDR than with traditional talk therapy alone. EMDR can help you feel relief, regain confidence, and create space for new ways of thinking and living.

EMDR is recognized by the World Health Organization and the American Psychological Association as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD.

Who it helps: Trauma and PTSD, anxiety rooted in past experiences, distressing memories that still feel present, phobias, and grief.

Sand Tray Therapy

Not everything can be put into words – especially when it comes to trauma, grief, and deeply layered emotional experiences. Sand tray therapy gives you another way in.

Using miniature figures and objects arranged in a tray of sand, you create a physical representation of your inner world. This isn’t arts and crafts. It’s a clinically supported modality that allows you to externalize experiences, explore dynamics, and process emotions in a way that bypasses the limitations of language.

Sand tray is especially effective when you feel stuck in talk therapy, when you’re processing experiences that happened before you had words for them, or when you just need a different way to access what’s going on beneath the surface.

This approach works for adults just as well as it does for kids. It’s not about age – it’s about giving your brain a different channel to work through.

Who it helps: Complex trauma, grief and loss, relationship dynamics, identity exploration, and anyone who feels limited by talk therapy alone.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is the core of my practice. In one-on-one sessions, we build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and honesty, then use that foundation to do the real work.

I’ll help you identify the patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that are keeping you stuck — and then I’ll challenge them. Directly. I’ll ask the hard questions. I’ll point out contradictions between what you say you want and what you’re actually doing. I’ll push you toward the growth you came here for.

That kind of accountability isn’t always easy, but I will work with you to ensure it happens inside a space where you feel supported, respected, and safe. The challenge comes from a place of belief in you, not judgment.

Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. Depending on your goals, I will likely incorporate many different modalities, therapeutic interventions, and other evidence-based tools to help you process what you’ve been through and move forward in a way that feels real and sustainable.

Couples Therapy

Relationships have patterns, and most couples can’t see theirs clearly from the inside. That’s where I come in.

In couples sessions, I help you and your partner identify the dynamics that are creating disconnection, resentment, or conflict. We look at communication patterns, attachment styles, unspoken expectations, and the ways you’ve each learned to protect yourselves – often at the expense of the relationship.

I bring the same directness to couples work that I bring to individual therapy. I won’t take sides, but I will call out what I see. My goal is to help both of you feel heard while also taking honest ownership of your part.

Who it helps: Couples navigating communication breakdowns, trust issues, conflict patterns, intimacy challenges, or major life transitions together.

Family Therapy

Family dynamics are powerful – and when they’re not working, everyone feels it. Family therapy creates a space for each member to be heard while we work together to understand and shift the patterns that are causing pain.

Whether you’re dealing with a specific crisis, ongoing tension, or a transition that’s thrown the family off balance, I help families communicate more honestly, understand each other’s perspectives, and build healthier ways of relating.

Who it helps: Families dealing with conflict, communication issues, parenting challenges, blended family dynamics, or supporting a family member through a difficult time.

Teen & Adolescent Therapy

Working with teenagers requires a fundamentally different approach. Teens are navigating identity, independence, peer pressure, academic stress, family tension, and significant neurological development — all at the same time. They don’t need another adult telling them what to do.

I connect with teens by being real. I earn their trust before I ask them to be vulnerable. I meet them where they are developmentally and emotionally, adjusting my approach to fit who they are and what they need in the moment. Sometimes that means processing difficult experiences. Sometimes it means building practical coping skills. Sometimes it simply means being a steady, consistent adult who sees them clearly and takes them seriously.
