Meghan Terwilliger
MS, LPC, CCTP-II | Licensed Professional CounselorI’m Meghan Terwilliger, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I am excited to work with you. Life feels overwhelming. You’ve been carrying stress, trauma, anxiety or emotional pain for a long time. You know that something needs to change, even if you can’t quite name what that change looks like yet. Therapy with me is a place where you don’t have to figure it out alone.
My work focuses on trauma recovery and supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I work with teens and adults, as well as couples and families. I am a Level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and specialize in trauma recovery using a range of approaches, including talk therapy and EMDR. I’m especially passionate about working with men, veterans, and individuals from rural or blue-collar backgrounds, where mental health is often misunderstood or pushed aside.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and bring both professional training and lived experience into the therapy room. I grew up in a rural community with a single, veteran, blue-collar father, which shaped how I understand resilience, responsibility, and the pressure many people feel to “just handle it.” In therapy, I value honesty, intentionality, and genuine connection. My goal isn’t to fix you — it’s to help you better understand yourself, build skills that actually fit your life, and move toward a future that feels more steady and more yours.
How I Can Help You
I create a space where you feel safe enough to do the hard work that leads to real change.
Trauma Recovery
Past experiences don’t have to run your life. Through EMDR and other evidence-based approaches, we’ll process what happened so you can move forward with clarity and strength instead of being stuck in survival mode.

Self-Confidence & Self-Worth
Low self-esteem often shows up as negative self-talk and negative core beliefs. We’ll identify those patterns, challenge them directly, and build a trusting relationship with yourself that actually feels healthy, safe, and supportive.

Relationships & Connection
Whether it’s romantic relationships, family dynamics, or friendships, feeling disconnected takes a toll. We’ll explore the patterns that keep showing up and work toward the kind of connections you want in your life.

Depression & Anxiety
When depression or anxiety takes hold, it can feel like nothing will change. Therapy provides practical tools and deeper understanding to help you regain a sense of control and direction in your life.

Life Transitions
Major changes – career shifts, moves, loss, new chapters – can shake your sense of identity. Having support through those transitions makes the difference between surviving them and growing through them.
Testimonials
During my sessions with Dr. Brooks, I feel like I am speaking with a friend rather than a stranger. After them, I feel that I am a new person who is in charge of her life, mind and actions.
Kylie Rogers
I attended one of your conferences the other day, and I must say that I am really impressed. For such a delicate and young woman, Cloe Brooks seems to have accomplished a lot!
Emily Parker
For me, this was a wonderful experience. I thought there would be no solution for countless issues in our marriage, but Dr. Brooks has so far proven me and my husband wrong.
