About Meghan

MS, LPC, CCTP-II | Licensed Professional Counselor | Phoenix, Arizona

I’m Meghan Terwilliger, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional based in Phoenix, Arizona. I specialize in trauma recovery, interpersonal relationships, and building self-confidence. I work with teens, adults, families, and couples.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will sit back and nod along, I’m probably not it. But if you’re looking for someone who will genuinely invest in your growth, hold you accountable, and care enough to push you when you need it – we should talk.

My Approach

I offer a supportive, calm space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Therapy is not about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you feel more grounded, more connected, and more in control of your life again.

Whether you’re processing past experiences or trying to cope with the present, you deserve support that meets you where you are.

What to Expect

Client-Centered
Your goals guide our work.

Trauma-Informed
We prioritize safety, trust, and emotional regulation.

Collaborative
You are the expert on your life — I’m here to support you, as the professional.

Practical & Supportive
We focus on tools you can use outside of session, not just talking through problems.

Where I Come From

I grew up in a rural, blue-collar community, raised by a single father who was a veteran. I understand how culture and community can shape the way we see strength, vulnerability, and asking for help.

That experience shaped everything about how I practice today. I saw firsthand the stigma, the isolation, and the systemic barriers that keep people from seeking the support they need. I watched people I cared about struggle in silence because they didn’t have access, didn’t think they deserved help, or didn’t believe anyone would actually understand.

I knew I wanted to be someone different. Someone who gets it. Someone who wants to genuinely know you, your journey, and your background before making a treatment plan. Someone who meets you exactly where you are and works with you from there.

That’s why I’m especially committed to working with men, veterans, first responders, and anyone who has ever been told – or told themselves – that therapy isn’t for people like them.
